6-8pm
Free entry, beverages available for purchase.
Register to attend HERE.
Bask in the twilight glow and stop to smell the roses in bloom. Stroll the paths of the oldest rose garden in the United States still growing in its original plan. Sip rosé, play some lawn games, and get to know your neighbors, all while supporting a Philadelphia treasure!
Drink and membership purchases benefit Wyck Historic, House, Garden, & Farm, a National Historic Landmark house, garden, and farm in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia that served as the ancestral home to one Philadelphia family for nine generations (1690-1973). The 2.5-acre, centuries-old site plays an essential role in the life of its 21st-century urban neighborhood, using buildings, landscape, and collections to provide educational, cultural, and nutritional resources for neighbors and visitors.
This event is part of the launch of the Young Friends of Wyck. Memberships will be available for purchase at the event, or you can join by paying your age, or an amount meaningful to you, here. Becoming a Young Friend of Wyck means joining an active community moved to preserve a one-of-a-kind cultural resource and bring it to life. Young Friends of Wyck steward, invigorate, and enjoy the site’s resources including America’s Oldest Rose Garden, an active farm, and the house and collections spanning 330 years of Philadelphia history – all while connecting with other passionate young people from the area.
