Home Farm Club
Wyck’s Home Farm Club is now in its third year of operation as a large, cohesive, collaboratively-run kitchen garden.
Join our horticulturist, Martha, with our friends and neighbors on Wednesdays in Wyck’s historic home farm for short lessons, hands-on experience, and a share of fresh produce when you volunteer!
2020 dates and times: Every Wednesday from 10am-12pm OR 4pm-6pm
In the interest of limiting contact and promoting social distancing, please bring your own hand tools, gloves, water bottle, and produce bags if possible. No prior experience or time commitment required. Children accompanied by a parent or guardian are welcome and invited to attend. Enter through Walnut Lane entrance. Season runs until October 28.
Questions? Contact Martha at firstname.lastname@example.org or at 215.848.1690.
While I had been involved in community gardens where each person had their own plot, Wyck Home Farm Club is geared more towards small-scale farming where everyone contributes to the greater good of food production. It immediately felt right. One day you could be weeding, another day pruning, and the next harvesting. This structure allows for busy schedules to plug in when possible, while not feeling the stress that comes with the responsibility of having your own specific plot.Home Farm Club Participant, 2019
