Help us Restore the Exterior of our 330+ year old house!

This expansive project involves the much-needed restoration of Wyck’s historic windows, shutters, doors, and trellis, and the conservation and restoration of the building stucco. It builds on the successful East Wall Restoration and Grape Arbor Restoration, that served as tests of preservation models. The project mitigates the primary threats to Wyck’s exterior, including rising damp, paint failure, and rot. It will also better secure the arbor and trellises to protect from future changes to climate. The work will be completed in accordance with preservation standards set by the Secretary of the Interior while utilizing practical solutions to ensure future maintenance.

This project is the first phase of a multi-year plan developed by Wyck’s Board of Directors. Once the exterior is complete, planning will begin on the House’s interiors and the historic outbuildings.
