Beautiful things come in small packages, and the springtime garden is a jewel box of wearable flowers.  Come away from this floral design workshop with a custom boutonniere to gift your dad, grandfather, uncle, or beloved paternal figure just in time for Father’s Day.  Martha Keen, Wyck’s Horticulturist and Landscape Manager, will teach students:

  • a bit of boutonniere, buttonhole, and posey history
  • the mechanics of how to wire and glue flowers and ribbons
  •  a recipe for a fetching design

This class is open to adults, as well as boys and girls in 8th grade and up.  Participants will leave with two finished pieces of their own making.  All materials and supplies will be provided, but please bring a pair of pruners and a hot glue gun if you own them.

Buy your tickets early as this workshop is restricted to 12 participants.  Age 8th grade to adult.
